Frequently asked questions
Which file formats does Wenyue support?
The current product description and user agreement explicitly cover supported text files including Markdown, HTML, and TXT. The app version you use determines the exact supported range.
Does Wenyue require an internet connection?
Opening, reading, editing, previewing, and exporting documents are primarily handled on the device and do not require a Lihangxing account. System sharing or third-party file locations may require a connection under the rules of the relevant service.
Are my documents uploaded to a server?
Document content is processed locally on your device or in a system file location you choose by default. Wenyue does not automatically upload content to Lihangxing Technology servers merely because you open, preview, or edit a local document.
Why can some files not be opened?
A file may use an unsupported format, contain an encoding problem, be damaged, or use a file type that the current version does not support. Wenyue does not guarantee support for every file format or complex HTML content.
Where is an edited file saved?
Edited documents are stored locally on your device or in the system file location you choose. The location where you opened the file and the destination you select when saving determine where it is stored.
Will my files remain after deleting the app?
It depends on the file location. Uninstalling Wenyue does not automatically delete documents stored outside the app in a system file location. Content stored only in the app’s local space may be removed, so save important files to a system file location you manage before uninstalling.
How can I report a parsing or display issue?
Include the file format, steps that reproduce the issue, system version, and app version. If the document contains sensitive or private information, do not send the original file; a description or redacted sample is enough.
